The premium quality Rubber Weight Belt with stainless steel buckle allows the serious spearfisherman or freediver to snug up the belt at the surface and forget it while fishing and diving. It is manufactured with a high stretch rubber to keep your weights comfortably in proper position during ascents and descents. The high elastic properties of the belt will contract and compress with your body and wetsuit during your descent and expand and stretch as your body and wetsuit expand during ascent keeping your weight belt properly positioned around your hips. The stainless steel buckle has a tilting check pin that fits into the holes situated at regular intervals along the belt. Secure grip and quick emergency release. The easy release Marseillaise buckle is made of heavy-duty corrosion-resistant stainless steel and attached to the belts with stainless steel rivets.

Weights and Weightbelts:
Weights are critical to Scuba diving. Clients need to be correctly weighted in order to enjoy the dive.
Most clients make the error of placing too many weights on their weight belts. You now end up struggling on the dive because you are overweighted.
Remember that the purpose of the weights is not to pull you down, but to compensate for the buoyancy of the wetsuit. The average person is neutrally buoyant in a costume in the pool. We simply add the weights to aid us in taking the wetsuit down which is incredibly buoyant.
We stand by the philosophy of diving with as little weights as possible so that you don’t have to keep inflating your BC at depth and drastically increasing your Drag Profile underwater.
