Diving Cylinders:

Diving Cylinders provide the air required in order to dive. A cylinder carries air, volume of the tank is calculated (Litres) X the (Working Pressure) WP of the cylinder. 
For example 10L 300Bar contains 3000Litres of Air.

The mistake often made, is that we go for a larger cylinder to increase air consumption. We should be analysing how we dive, move in the water and the drag factor of our gear.
Cylinders come in a variety of sizes, the most popular in South Africa being the Faber 12L steel dumpy cylinder. Divetek carries a full range of cylinders, starting from the smallest Spare Air, to the largest 18L Steel, as well as various steel, aluminium and oxygen cylinders.

Cylinders are a vital part of our life support equipment, so they need to be serviced and checked on a regular basis. They need to be visually examined every year (Scuba), and go for a hydrostatic test every four years to ensure they are safe to use. We facilitate all the servicing required to make sure your cylinders are up to standard (SANS 10019).

All cylinders store highly compressed gas. We take great pride in filling each cylinder with best quality, filtered air. We fill cylinders all the way to 300bar, and we also fill NITROX and 100% pure oxygen through our Haskel System.
