The Apeks MTR-X Octo is the hi-vis alternate air source for the MTXR Regulator. Built to the same Standards as the MTX R but in a bright yellow colour to be easily seen when needed. The robust metal front cover and a crenelated rubber edge for easy access to internal parts.

• Includes left / right reversibility, coldwater capability and the performance you would expect from an Apeks pneumatically balanced valve
• The unit has a high visibility yellow front cover, yellow accent pieces and a 36” braided flex yellow hose
• Comes standard with small exhaust tee

Diving Octos:

Diving Octos are part of Diving Regulators which form part of the life support equipment involved in Diving.

Their purpose is to be an alternate air source should your buddy require additional air.

Most Octos are unbalanced as it is, quite simply, more cost effective.
However many Octos are balanced and they are more reliable as they can be fine tuned and this results in a longer time interval between services.

A balanced Octo will breathe better than an unbalanced one. The decision regarding which Octo to choose, should be based on what you can afford. Rather spend more money on a top quality first stage and primary.
You can always upgrade your Octo at a later stage.
